Abstract

It is realized that the implementation of coaching and guidance of inmates requires great ability and responsibility from the implementer, including the need for adequate support. Because the resources and facilities of correctional institutions are always limited, implementers must be able to make good use of them. However, it turns out that prisons also have a very high risk of conflict, including riots, fights, arson, officers taking hostages, individual or mass escapes, and so on. Violations in correctional institutions demonstrate poor coaching and security concepts. The Directorate General of Corrections must ensure that the Correctional Internal Compliance Operational Unit (SATOPS PATNAL PAS) in each correctional institution works optimally. This will enable the Directorate General of Corrections to help carry out its assigned duties and functions. The Correctional Internal Compliance Operational Unit (SATOPS PATNAL PAS) is expected to be able to handle various problems, especially those related to security and order in various areas of the Correctional Institution. Below is a summary of the main problems that can be researched and discussed in this article: How to Implement and Obstacles in Implementing the Tasks of the Correctional Internal Compliance Operational Unit (Satops Patnal Pas) in the Jakarta Class IIA Women's Prison (From January to June 2023). The research results showed that the security measures carried out were not by standard operating procedures (SOP), which means that security measures were not implemented from the beginning of the process of entering prison until the end of the process. One of them is the initial inspection of officers at the entrance to the prison, where officers' belongings and bodies are checked as they enter and leave the prison. However, the number of officers and facilities required to ensure security is inadequate.
